Day 30 – More bondo, and fixing of the clutch

I’m almost done with the bondo. One more hole to patch, and one more patch to grind and patch. Also got the rear bumper off – alot of work! They don’t seem to want you to remove it…

Needed quite a bit of reconstructing...

Almost done the left side, still a few places to putty over, and then paint

When I was all done and driving home, I tasted bondo. Might need a bit more ventilation/mask next time…

We also managed to fix the clutch – the spacing was off and the flywheel was grinding up along the inside of the transmission. We put a little bolt on either side to act as a spacer, and it works like a dream. It’s kind of cool, when the clutch is in the motor makes lots of noise just from spinning fast – but when you take the clutch off everything goes silent. It’s that sound when you stall a car… But our car moves forwards then. It’s going to be great cruising around silently!
