Day 19 – Plywood mockup

Ian got a head start on another lazy Sunday afternoon – making the motor adapter plate spacer. Using plywood, a table saw, a pencil and a jigsaw he came up with this:

Plywood ready to be cut

Plywood mounted for tracing

Jigsaw'd out!

Jigsaws away!

Hopefully Tuesday we will be able to finish the aluminum motor mounting plate which will mount overtop of this plywood spacer. We are on temporary hiatus (being kicked out of the garage) while Ian’s dad fixes the family car. Probably a good thing, finals are next week!

Our goal is to have the motor mounted before Christmas, so we have lots of stuff to do during the break.
