Day 21 – Three-point-turn… in a garage

Brought the Del Sol back into the garage tonight… had to turn it around to fit it in our newly designated corner… wasn’t as easy as we thought…

Pushing a car through snow while its running and slipping is hard… pushing a car without an engine through snow… almost impossible. Hooked up a come along chain to the tv tower and towed it in slowly, once we got the momentum going it wasn’t so bad.

Once in the garage we had another problem – we had a designated corner to put it in, so it didn’t have to go outside again this winter… Unfortunately, we had to turn the car around… Three point turns in a garage don’t really exist… but we got pretty close. Ended up jacking up the back end to scoot it around skidding the front wheels. Here are some more pictures.

Not the safest operation... But the jack stayed on the car!

By the time we got it in the garage, it was almost 11. We had originally hoped to start mounting the transmission but that would have to wait. We’re just about ready to put it together though, just need to shave off some excess aluminum from the adapter plate:
